The New Deputy

[Solarstorm]

Solarstorm was laying beside the old deputy of Thunderclan. He had died saving her life. He had been leading a patrol and a fox had come out of no where. It attacked her and he had tried to kill it but it killed him in the process. But in return She had killed it with her streangth and spirit. She was outraged that the fox even had the nerve to attack Thunderclan cats. She lay beside him with grief filling her eyes.

[::Tearstar::]

Tearstar padded up from behind her and mewed, "It was his time. Starclan was calling him." She then looked at her old deputy and felt ters fill her eyes. She looked at the sky having them not slide down her cheeks. She then looked at her warrior and mewed, "Your deputy now, remember you have a role to play in this clan. Trusts to build. I wouldnt look back..only ahead.."

[Solarstorm]

Solarstorm lifted her head and noded in agreement. "I know Tearstar. I wont let you down. I promise that I will serve Thunderclan to the best of my abilities." She meowed to her leader and friend. She looked at the old deputy and felt tears fall down her eyes like rain drops falling off of a leaf after a rainstorm.

Tearstar ndded and looked back also at her deputy. She then padded to her new deputy and licked her between the ears for comfort and then mewed, "We have to burry him sometime Solarstorm. Would you like to help me?"

[Solarstorm]

Solarstorm nodded feeling more comfotable after Tearstar licked her head. "Yes Tearstar, I will help you bury him. He was my father anyway. Adderclaw was very brave. He died saving my life." She meowed hoping he could hear her. Then she rose to her paws and grabbed her fathers scruff.

Tearstar took one last look at her deputy and mewed, "He was a fine deputy. He was never scared of anything." She then looked at solarstorm and then grabbed his back and looked at solarstorm and was waiting for a sidnal to move him.

[Solarstorm]

Solarstorm then flicked her tail for signal to start. She started padding toward the entranct to the camp. She felt the tears trickle down her face as she walked her father out of camp. They walked over to the place where they buried the cats of Thunderclan. She laid down her father gentally on the cold stone ground and she started digging with her claws unsheathed.

Tearstar followed, smelling his sent through her nose so many memories raced through her head. She then set down the deputy when they were out of the camp and looked at Solarstorm. She then padded up to her deputy and mewed, "I'll dig..you relax and have a last moment with your father.." She then looked into solarstorms eyes and finished, "Thats an order.."

the pure white tom with blank emotionless blue eyes looked down at solarstorm and placed his tail on her shoulder. he was muted so he could answer her sadness. tho his emotionless face shown brightly. he looked at the leader. he dipped his head in a greeting. he felt sorry for his leader, and for his new deputy, but he would never let it show. emotions were weakness. he knew that from his father's harsh words and slashes. walking away from solarstorm he sat in the shadows again letting a very low wipper leave his jaws.

letting his eyes shut shortly he saw it all and when he opened them again his fur was on ends. he swore by starclan that he saw his father, with lashing tail, come closer to him. speaking his harsh tones. fear gripped his heart as he ducked and than climbed to all fours and raced from the shadows. no fear scent followed he was again emotionless. sitting down he kept looking behind him. he blinked once. and was silence and move-less for once.

Tearstar nodded to her warrior and just saw the expression on his face he was deeply sorry. She gave a hard gulp and looked at Solarstorm. She then looked over at Ghostwhisper and then back at her deputy and waited for her to let herself dig the hole.

[Bramblefrost]

Sunpaw rushed out of her den to say good bye to her deputy. She got their just in time and pushed her muzzle into his fur for the last time. She stepped back to let the burial take place and watched somberly as the hole was getting dug. Sunpaw felt like letting out a yowl of sorrow. Even if she was horrible with Birchpaw, at a time like this their rivalry disolved like mist in the sun. These days were sad days. So many cats were being lost...

[Solarstorm]

Solarstorm nodded without saying a word and stepped back. She dipped her head in greeting at Ghoustwhisper as he rested his tail on her shoulder and left. She watched as Sunpaw rushed up from behind and dug her face into Hawkwings fur.

Tearstar nodded and tought. Okay old girl, you can do this... She then took out her claws and started to dig, picking up rocks and dirt all at the same time. She then saw Sunpaw and gave a glance and still kept digging.
Time felt like it was going slow as ever when she was finally done she was covered in dirt and soil. "Done" she mewed with a smile know that she look really grose right about now.

Ghostwhisper placed his nose into the cat's fur and parted his jaws, speaking in a low tone that no one could understand, for he wasn't even speaking. turning away he trotted away his blue eyes wide with nothering but emotionless worries.

Birchpaw nodded softly to his deputy. his head lowered in a sad way. he trotted over to his mentor Solarstorm and meowed. "Solarstorm I know he was your father but remember he'll always be with you in here." he pointed the the she-cat's chest. and he smiled gently.

Tearstar smiled at the apprentice's words and then looked over at her deputy showing it was time.
