Raggedstar stared after Gorsepaw with narrowed eyes. "Bold apprentice.. You go on back to camp, Charmcaster. I'll fetch her." And with that, the old leader stood and bounded after Gorsepaw.
She cut in front of the apprentice and grabbed her by the scruff. "Listen, Gorsepaw. I was once an apprentice, and I was undersized as well. I'm not treating you like a kit," she growled through the apprentice's fur. "But you are not a warrior yet; you cannot leave camp without permission from myself, Charmcaster, or a warrior. If I say you are to hunt for two days, you are to hunt for two days." Her voice, though thick with fur, came out as a hiss. "I should extend your punishment for denying the word of the leader--when in the Warrior Code it states that the leader's word is law." She set the apprentice back down then looked at her sternly. "But, I won't. Now, do as you are told and report back here to me once you have finished hunting. Got me?" she finished with a growl. [/size] |

"I don't care about the warrior code!'' Gorsepaw screeched. She lashed out with her front paws and bolted away. "Don't bother following me" she repeated as she turned around. Then she turned back around and dashed away, with the wind at her feet. She quickly got out of the moors and found herself near Highstones. Up above her mountains could be seen from far away. She shivered as the wind blew and headed inside of the open hole. Once inside she instantly warmed. Her tail brushed the walls and her pelt was matted where Raggedstar had grabbed her. She kept on heading in deeper and then felt cool air. She looked up and gasped. She had never been near the middle. Of course Gorsepaw had gone to Highstones before. Gorsepaw forced herself to walk to the edge of the clearing. There she plopped down and sighed as the cold stone refreshed her.

Charmcaster nodded to her leader and turned tail and padded back home. She then took one last look back and mewed to herself, "Maybe I should have said something.." She then looked at the sky and bounced home.

Raggedstar stared after Gorsepaw with wide eyes. "What has gotten into the apprentice?" she murmured to herself. Then she stood and followed Gorsepaw's scent trail out of WindClan territory and all the way over to High Stones. She stopped outside the entrance and settled down to wait for Gorsepaw to return. Gorsepaw scented Raggedstare and jumped onto the moon rock. She took the top way out of Highstones. She burst out of the musty cave and bolted immediately towards her home camp. Passing it she kept on going until she reached ThunderClan territory. She crossed the river. Gorsepaw smirked, Raggedstar wouldn't find her. She finally burst into Four-trees and jumped up onto the rock. Now just let me get some sleep Raggedstar,she thought.
