Here is my story im working on. Dis is da Prologue.
Anxious yowls echoed throughout the hollows.
"So what did you hear," called out a black tom. His gaze was focused on one single cat. Her pelt was dirty and fur was sticking out in every direction.
"Keep your fur on Nightshadow," When the former deputies shoulder fur bristled she added "I will get to the prophecy soon enough." The tom settled down and the she-cat turned back to the gathered cats. She stood, just staring at them for what seemed like ages.
"Get on with it Sagewing!," a cat called out. Sagewing glared at the cats as if trying to figure out who spoke out. Then she spoke in an unearthly voice,
"Before the forest is calm, you will meet more of your kind," Sagewing shuddered a bit. The cats stared, unsure whether to speak or not. A couple shifted their paws uneasily. Others were to caught up in the prophecy. A cat started to speak but, Sagewing raised her tail for silence.
"There is more," she told them. She opened her eyes momentarily then closed them again.
"Beware your own scent, trouble follows," she finished. With that the cats started talking in low whispers.
"Sagewing, are you saying that one of our cats are traitors?" a cat challenged her.
"Will be traitors," she corrected him. The cat stared stonily at her.
"Are you sure you read the signs correctly" he retorted. Sagewing's neck fur began to bristle.
"Are you doubting my skills, to read omens and signs?" her lip curled in the beginning of a snarl.
"Stop bickering like kits, you two," came a new voice. Sagewing looked away.
"Sagewing , are you sure that, that is our prophecy," he asked her. The new cat was a sleek brown tabby.
"Quite sure, Mudstar," she growled "It's just this mouse-brain has the courage to speak up after a prophecy is revealed."
"Then you have no need to quarrel with Arrowflight," the tom that had called out dipped his head in the deepest respect.
"Cats of StarClan, before warning our ancestors, we will meet one more time" Mudstar yowled. Then he dipped his head in farewell and whisked off. The cats of StarClan began to depart from there meeting place.
"Please let me have been right" Sagewing prayed...
